INDIAN PHOTOGRAPHY PARK

This is a selection of photography I made during my sole stay in an Ayurveda retreat in Dehradun.

​

To this retreat belongs a huge park with many different plants: orchid trees, bamboo, elephant trees, almond trees and many more. During my stay in January 2023, some of these wonderful trees were in bloom. I often walked in this park and captured this lush splendor with my Polaroid camera. At home, I scanned each picture at a very high resolution. The images have dust from the long journey and you can see that the chemistry didn't always work perfectly during the developing process. For me, these processes of "contamination" and imperfection are part of it. They make the images all the more valuable and authentic.
